Mihaela P. Harper

Mihaela P. Harper is an assistant professor in the Cultures, Civilizations and Ideas Program at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. Her research interests span Eastern Europe, translation and transnationalism, interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives, cultural and media studies, political theory, and continental philosophy.  She has published her work on contemporary literatures and philosophy in symplokē, the Slavonic and East European Review, the Journal of Modern Literature, and Modern Language Studies. Her current project examines post-apocalyptic narratives, both literary and visual, against the backdrop of theories of exception, lawlessness, language, and community.
